The award, named in honour of the pioneering Rachael Heyhoe-Flint was established following her death in January 2017.Satterthwaite did have reason to celebrate at least, collecting the ODI Player of the Year award, for a year in which she scored 1183 runs in 24 matches (between 21 September 2016 and 21 December 2017), while Perry’s team-mate Beth Mooney was declared ICC’s Emerging Player of the Year as well as T20I Player of the Year.ICC Women’s Cricket Awards 2017

Mohamed Salah is one of the most dangerous forwards in the Premier League – and has been for some time now. Liverpool will continue to turn to the Egyptian this season as they attempt to right the wrongs of last season.
The Reds host Aston Villa on September 3rd – the first Premier League matchday after the transfer window. It's an enormous game for both teams, of course, with Villa looking to stamp their authority after a rather exciting summer so far under Unai Emery.
So with Liverpool needing Salah at his best, how does he typically do against Aston Villa? We at Football FanCast have had a look into the stats to find out.
What is Mohamed Salah's goals record vs Aston Villa?
Mohamed Salah typically has a good record against everyone – he's been that good since joining Liverpool in 2017. His record against Villa is no different.
In nine meetings with the club, Salah has scored six times. While it's far from the most he's managed against a club, it's actually one of his best goals-to-game records. In fact, only four or five are better.
As for the Premier League, Salah's record is five goals in eight games. Again, it's a very positive one and suggests that, more often than not, the forward hurts Villa.
What is Mohamed Salah's assists record vs Aston Villa?
Salah's assist record isn't far behind his goal record. He's managed four in his nine games, with all of them coming in the eight Premier League meetings.
There are only four clubs against whom Salah has assisted more than four times. The 31-year-old has faced all of them at least three more times than he has Villa, too, suggesting his record could be far better.
What was Mohamed Salah's best game vs Aston Villa?
Well this one is hard to judge. Salah's goals have all come in different games – except for two. There was one game where he managed to score twice against Villa, but it was also a game where everything went wrong.
Liverpool lost 7-2 to Aston Villa back in late 2020 – one of the worst performances in their history. Salah, though, scored both goals for Liverpool and was a little unlucky not to have more. We feel a little silly saying that was his best game against them, however.
So maybe we'll go for the away fixture last season. Salah scored and assisted in a 3-1 win. That's all nice and positive.
What is Mohamed Salah's head-to-head record vs Aston Villa?
Liverpool have been one of the most dominant teams in the Premier League since Salah's arrival. As a result, their head-to-head record is pretty fantastic against everyone not named 'Manchester City'.
That's reflected here. Salah has won seven of his nine meetings with Villa, drawing one and losing one. The loss was spectacular, of course, as the Reds suffered a 7-2 disaster. The draw was notable, too, if only because it was the latest meeting between the two sides.
The non-Premier League meeting is worth a mention, too. Salah started in an FA Cup Fourth Round clash at Villa Park, where he scored in a 4-1 win back in 2021.
Who has Mohamed Salah scored against the most?
It's a sign of just how important Salah is to Liverpool that the three clubs against whom he's scored the most are Manchester United followed by Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
His record against United is simply sensational. Salah has 12 goals in 12 games – along with four assists. It's hard to imagine any other player can boast a record like that against the Red Devils.
It's not quite the same story against City. He's faced them 19 times in his career, scoring 11 and assisting five. It's a fantastic record, of course, but not one where he's utterly dominant. Then again, few players are against Pep Guardiola's side.
Salah's record against Spurs is marginally better but only because he's played them one fewer time. 18 games, 11 goals. For whatever reason, he's far less creative against them than he is anyone else – just the one assist.
How many goals does Mohamed Salah have in September?
Salah has scored a lot of goals in September and he typically smashes it that month. In total, he's scored 29 goals in September in his career – and that includes for clubs before he moved to Liverpool.
15 of those came for the Reds and it's worth mentioning September 2021 – Salah scored six times in that month alone as he started the campaign in blistering form. Every September opponent suffered at least one goal from the Egyptian.
How many goals does Mohamed Salah have in his career?
Salah has 313 goals in his career for club and country. 49 of those were for Egypt.
Of course, the vast majority of his club goals have been for Liverpool. Of 264 club goals, 187 have been for the Reds, over 5x more than for any other club. 34 came for AS Roma, nine for Fiorentina, two for Chelsea, 20 for FC Basel, and another 12 for El Mokawloon – his first senior club in Egypt.
None of this is particularly surprising, given Salah's reputation as a goalscorer exploded once he moved to Anfield. He quickly became one of the world's deadliest strikers – a reputation he still very much holds.
How many Premier League goals does Mohamed Salah have?
Salah has scored 140 Premier League goals in his career – good enough for 14th all-time in the competition. Not all of those came for Liverpool, though, as the Egyptian did score twice for Chelsea in the top flight.
Liverpool's star forward almost certainly has his eyes set on the all-time top 10, though. He'd actually get there this season if he matches his lowest tally to date of 19 – that would push him above Michael Owen and into 10th place.
How many hat-tricks has Mohamed Salah scored?
Salah has more than his fair share of hat tricks since arriving at Liverpool. In the Premier League, he's managed four.
The first came at Anfield against Watford in 2018 – he actually scored four that day. He got another against Bournemouth later that year, while Salah's third came on the opening day in 2020 against Leeds United. Perhaps his most famous hat trick was against Manchester United as Liverpool won 5-0 at Old Trafford.
In the Champions League, Salah has 'just' one hat trick. It's a particularly notable one, however, as it's the fastest in Champions League history at just six minutes at 12 seconds. That was against Rangers last season and, remarkably, after he came on as a substitute.
How many assists does Mohamed Salah have?
Assist records can be a little murky – didn't places count different things as assists. Data on Transfermarkt, to name one, claims Salah has 133 assists in his career, with 80 coming for Liverpool.
Of course, the most recent of those was against Chelsea on the opening day this season.
Perhaps more valuable are the official Premier League statistics. They have Salah down with 60 assists after his opening-day efforts, which is good enough for 22nd all-time and just two behind 20th-placed Nolberto Solano.
What is Liverpool's record against Aston Villa?
Liverpool and Aston Villa have a long, long history and first met back in 1894. They've played 201 times since then, with the Reds winning on a majority of occasions.
In fact, just over half. Liverpool have 101 wins to their name, with Villa claiming victory on 59 occasions. That leaves 41 draws for those counting.
It's a similar story just in the Premier League. Liverpool and Villa have met 56 times in the competition, with the former winning 32 times and scoring 97 goals. Villa have 13 wins in response and 58 goals.
What are Liverpool's recent results against Aston Villa?
Liverpool vs Villa has had some notable results in recent seasons. Last time out saw the Reds win 3-1 at Villa Park but the two teams drew at Anfield. That's the first draw since 2014 and the first time Villa avoided defeat in five attempts.
Liverpool won both games in the 2021/22 season by the odd goal and did the same in their second meeting of the 2020/21 season. The game before that, though, might be the most memorable fixture between the two.
The Reds went to Villa Park as the reigning champions and, as a result, confident. They shouldn't have been. Villa carved them to pieces, scoring seven times and rendering Salah's brace in reply barely a consolation. We'll likely never see a game quite like it again – it's historically bad in Liverpool's history.
The last six games, then, have four wins for Liverpool, one draw, and one gigantic Villa win.
When is Liverpool vs Aston Villa?
Jurgen-Klopp
Liverpool will host Aston Villa on Sunday, September 3rd at 14:00 UK time. It'll be the 202nd meeting between the two clubs and their 57th in the Premier League.
The Reds have gone into this season after a bizarre summer in which they lost several long-term stars – and failed to replace them as they wanted to. It's not exactly what they wanted after last season, where they struggled badly for consistency and fell out of the Champions League spots.
Villa had a strange campaign last season. Under Steven Gerrard, they were relegation candidates. Under Unai Emery, they were one of the best teams in the league. They'd eventually finish 7th, 10 points from 4th – and hope to build on that this season. The opening day was a bad start but a win over Liverpool would correct things quickly.

Southampton are now believed to be in "pole position" to sign Premier League player Flynn Downes this summer, and an exciting new update has revealed a timeline on the transfer talks.
Who is Flynn Downes?
Downes was given little chance to prove his worth for West Ham in his debut campaign there, making 21 appearances in the league last season, only seven of which were starts. While clearly not a regular starter, he proved to be an effective squad player, completing 88.4% of his passes.
It could be that the 24-year-old is keen on a fresh challenge this summer, however, in order to be a guaranteed regular somewhere, rather than warm the substitutes' bench most weeks.
Downes' current West Ham deal may not expire until the summer of 2027, but it does look as though the Hammers will sanction a move, especially with Southampton hero James Ward-Prowse on his way to the London Stadium.
It could even be that the Englishman heads in the other direction to the south coast, with a new report revealing the latest on negotiations.
Will Southampton sign Flynn Downes?
According to Football Insider, Saints are now very much the front-runners to acquire Downes' signature this summer, pipping Leeds to his signature in the process:
"Southampton are in pole position to sign West Ham midfielder Flynn Downes, sources have told Football Insider. The Saints were in talks late on Thursday to land the 24-year-old after accepting the Hammers’ bid for James Ward-Prowse.
"Downes could now head the other way in a new twist to the deal that emerged on Thursday (10 August). Football Insider revealed that Southampton, Leeds, Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace had all registered their interest in Downes.
"But the south coast club lead the way and are now primed to land the midfielder in the final weeks of the window. The 24-year-old will be pushed down the pecking order at the London Stadium due to the arrivals of Edson Alvarez and Ward-Prowse."
While Saints have made a strong start to their Championship campaign, winning 2-1 away to Sheffield Wednesday in their opening game last Friday, it is still vital that new faces arrive before the summer transfer window closes.
That is particularly important with Ward-Prowse seemingly moving on, and while Downes may not be on his level currently, he could be a really shrewd signing. He has 21 Premier League appearances to his name, standing him in good stead in terms of experience and not being daunted by dropping down a league, and his industry and quality in the middle of the park can help fill the void left by the skipper.
Saints boss Russell Martin has managed him before at Swansea City, hailing him as "incredible", and the fact that he already knows him so well as a player can only be a good thing, making it less of a risk.
Granted, some may point towards West Ham being happy to sell Downes and be concerned that he isn't good enough, but the drop down in quality from the Premier League to the Championship is significant, and he could excel in the division as a key man week in week out.
Referee John Brooks had a busy afternoon at St James' Park as he sent off Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk but also made another big call on the day which he probably got wrong.
What's the latest on Liverpool and VAR?
In the Premier League this weekend, Newcastle United played host to the Reds in what turned out to be a fantastic, yet chaotic, spectacle. Indeed, things were going so well for the Magpies, but ended in complete disaster.
Just 25 minutes into the affair, Trent Alexander-Arnold made a big mistake as he failed to control a pass, allowing Anthony Gordon to run through on goal and make it 1-0 to the home team.
Only three minutes later, club captain Van Dijk was handed a straight red card when his foul on Alexander Isak was adjudged to have prevented a clear goalscoring opportunity.

Despite having to play well over an hour with just ten men, Liverpool managed to keep the score at 1-0 right up until the 81st minute when substitute Darwin Nunez struck a fine equaliser.
Incredibly, the same man then netted again in the 93rd minute of the game as the Reds completed an unlikely turnaround to pick up all three points on the day, leaving Eddie Howe and his side stunned.
However, one incident early on in the game suggests that Liverpool were actually fortunate to be down to ten men even before Van Dijk's red card. Indeed, as you can see in the image below, Alexander-Arnold cynically raised an arm to prevent Gordon from running away from him.
You can see the incident here via Sky Sports as manager Howe vented his anger on the call after the game, saying: "For me, yes [he should have been sent off]. You don't want to see players sent off but for me, that's a clear red card."
Did Trent Alexander-Arnold deserve a red card vs Newcastle?
The referee spotted the clear foul and gave Newcastle a free-kick but seeing as the English right-back had already been booked, it should have resulted in a red card – and yet, for some reason, Brooks kept his card in his pocket – and VAR couldn't intervene as it wasn't ever going to be a straight red card.
Alexander-Arnold's first yellow card, could be viewed as a little harsh as he was punished for throwing the ball away, but new PGMOL rules want referees to stamp down on behaviour like this so it's no shock that he was booked.
But the second offence was almost certainly a yellow card and it shouldn't matter about what happened on the first booking. We saw a similar incident in a recent Arsenal game when Takehiro Tomiyasu was sent off for picking up a first card for time-wasting, and then a second for a foul not dissimilar to Alexander-Arnold's challenge.
Pundit Jamie Carragher slammed referee Brookes for his decision after the game on Sky Sports (via Metro), saying: "Listen, Trent deserves a yellow card. We know the rules, he throws the ball away, but it’s a really poor decision and the referee makes a rod for his own back."
At the time, Gary Neville added: "He’s lucky. Would Klopp think about substituting him? It’s a cauldron out there. He has sent out Joe Gomez to warm up. I’m not surprised at all. It must be a serious consideration."
West Ham United are keen on signing another forward before the transfer window slams shut on Friday night, with a new update now emerging on the club's pursuit of a popular target.
What's the latest West Ham transfer news?
According to the Daily Mail, West Ham are competing with Brentford to secure the last-minute signing of Paris Saint-Germain forward Hugo Ekitike.
As per the report, Brentford have made enquiries about the young goal-scorer, however, the Hammers are keen to seal a deal for the player as they prepare to rival their Premier League peers by flexing their financial power to win the race for Ekitike in the coming hours.
What is Hugo Ekitike good at?
There is just over a day left for West Ham to complete their business before the transfer window closes tomorrow evening and despite their recent signing of Mohammed Kudus, there is no doubt that Ekitike would be a great acquisition for the east London club.

Danny Ings has found himself falling out of favour since joining the Hammers in January and is the lesser favoured striker option with David Moyes preferring Michail Antonio and Gianluca Scamacca in his starting line-up last season – with Ings tallying up only 15 Premier League starts and averaging just 46 minutes per appearance.
Paris Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike.
The 31-year-old has been the subject of interest for Everton this week, with the Toffees stepping forward to secure the services of Ings following their struggles to find consistency in front of goal, however, it remains to be seen whether the Irons forward will be willing to move on in the dying hours of the window.
If Ings doesn't make a last-minute exit, he could fall even further down the pecking order if West Ham can complete a deal for Ekitike, as the PSG youngster has the potential and talent to play a big part in the forward line at the London Stadium.
Despite struggling for game-time with the Ligue 1 champions last season, Ekitike has made a name for himself as one of the hottest young prospects in Europe after bursting on the scene with Stade de Reims before his huge move to PSG.
When comparing the 21-year-old with his positional peers across the top five European leagues over the last 12 months, Ekitike ranks in the top 5% for assists, pass completion and interceptions, as well as ranking in the top 25% for progressive carries, successful take-ons, tackles and blocks, as per FBref, outlining him as an all-round asset.
Indeed, as per WhoScored, the Frenchman's biggest strengths lie in dribbling, long shots and defensive contributions, whilst also prolific in layoffs and an indirect threat from set-pieces, traits that combined could be highly valuable to Moyes over the season ahead on both the domestic and European stage.
Ekitike – who has a reported €35m (£30m) price tag – has also earned high praise from renowned scout Jacek Kulig who claimed that the PSG youngster is a "clinical finisher" who is "fast and powerful" and possesses "superb flair, agility & coordination for a player of his size."
With that being said, if West Ham could complete the signing of Ekitike it would deliver Moyes an experienced yet youthful presence to deploy in his forward line and with regular game time in the Premier League, could become a huge threat for opponents.

Saturday evening confirmed several things for Tottenham Hotspur.
One, Harry Kane's £100m transfer to Bayern Munich is not the world-ending scenario some have feared.
And two, manager Ange Postecoglou's freshly implemented system tantalises an exciting, refreshing new chapter for the club.
Dispatching Manchester United 2-0 after opening the seasonal account with a battling 2-2 draw against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium has hinted that goals and points will flow this term, but there remains space, unequivocally, for a new forward.
Richarlison has led the line for the opening two matches, whilst young striker Alejo Veliz, aged 19, has penned a £13m deal from Argentinian outfit Rosario Central.
What's the latest on Ernest Nuamah to Tottenham?
According to Football Insider, Spurs are preparing a formal offer for Danish side FC Nordsjaelland's teenage forward Ernest Ernest Nuamah, with the Daily Mail claiming he is rated at £22m.
Read the latest Tottenham transfer news HERE…
Premier League rivals Burnley, Brighton & Hove Albion and West Ham United are also interested, so Postecoglou and co will have to act swiftly and incisively to secure his services this month.
How good is Ernest Nuamah?
The dynamic Ghana sensation, who can play across both wings and centrally, has started the 2023/24 campaign with aplomb, scoring four goals and providing one assist from four matches in the Danish Superliga.
Still only 19 years of age, this follows an impressive breakthrough season where Nuameh plundered 15 goals and four assists from 34 matches for Nordsjaelland across all competitions.
Profiling the youngster, his former manager Flemming Pedersen said:
“Ernest is first and foremost a dribbler. He is incredibly fast, has a huge acceleration, and a good agility. He is primarily left-footed, but can also use the right. He is a great individualist with tremendous power, who has great potential to also become a skilled team player.”
While he is not naturally a forward, preferring to utilise his blistering speed and force as a forward-surging vehicle out wide, Nuamah, who has also been dubbed the "Ghanaian Flash" by talent scout Jacek Kulig, boasts an average Sofascore rating of 7.53 in the league this term, having complemented his prolific return with two shots per game and a crisp pass success rate of 83%.
ange-postecoglou-2
Given his ability to flourish both wide and as a centre-forward, Nuamah could prove to surpass Richarlison's presence with the Lilywhites, with the Brazilian forward only scoring three goals and supplying four assists from 37 outings since completing a £60m transfer from Everton in July 2022.
The 44-cap international only managed to record a score of 6.73 across 21 Premier League appearances last season, taking just one shot per game and completing 73% of his passes.
With Kane gone for pastures news, Richarlison might feel he has a new lease of life under Postecoglou's wing, and while he has indeed started the first two games this year in the talismanic role, an average rating of just 6.5, taking one shot each match, hardly evokes confidence following a disappointing introduction to life in north London.
Nuamah might be young and inexperienced, but he looks to be a true talent and if he can retain his cutting edge with a move to Postecoglou's project, Tottenham might unveil the perfect new attacking outlet to cement a starring role, surpassing Richarlison.
Rachin Ravindra’s half-century and four-wicket haul vaulted New Zealand to the top of Group A, thereby setting up a quarter-final against Afghanistan in Christchurch. South Africa, who fell short by 71 runs to finish the preliminary stage with two wins in three matches, will play Pakistan.New Zealand’s margin of victory after they posted 279 for 8 could have been much bigger if not for Hermann Rolfes, who struck a 124-ball 108 to lift South Africa from the pits of 76 for 4 in the 23rd over. In Jean du Plessis, he found a steady accumulator who was more than happy to remain in the background. During the first 50 runs of their 106-run stand, Rolfes’ share was more than three quarters of it.Hermann Rolfes celebrates his century•ICC/Getty Images
Rolfes was adventurous and the only South Africa batsman to commit himself into strokes against Ravindra’s loopy left-arm spin. Off the fast bowlers, his picking of lengths to play the pull was particularly impressive.Going into the last 10 overs, with South Africa needing close to ten an over, he decided to take it upon himself completely. It resulted in one big shot too many and was pouched at long-off by Dale Phillips. Du Plessis’ dismissal in the 44th over, soon after he made a half-century, with South Africa still needing 81 off 41 effectively killed the chase. South Africa were eventually bowled out for 208 in 46.2 overs.Earlier in the day, Ravindra and his Wellington Under-19 mate Jakob Bhula put together 108 for the opening wicket in 19.5 overs. But at no stage did South Africa feel completely out of it. Bhula, coming off a world record 180 in the previous game, was quite tentative as runs flew off edges and he mistimed drives to third man. After a number of pokes and misses, he kept slicing his off-side strokes behind square. Ravindra, in comparison, was more stylish and free flowing.Once the opening stand was disturbed, Finn Allen, who made a sparkling hundred in New Zealand’s opening win over West Indies, showed urgency right from the outset, hitting a six and four off Jade de Klerk to signal his intention. But a mix-up with Ravindra coupled with a sensational under-arm flick by de Klerk to the striker’s end caught him short.South Africa tightened the noose after Allen’s dismissal. A mix of rash strokes and lack of application resulted in them losing five wickets for 28 in the middle overs to slip to 174 for 6. It needed a record seventh-wicket stand for New Zealand at the Under-19 World Cup to lift them close to 250.The orchestrators were Dale Phillips, brother of international batsman Glenn Phillips, and Max Chu. The pair put on 77, thereby surpassing the previous record set by Anton Devcich and Sam McKay against Bangladesh at the 2004 edition, to help New Zealand to 279. Those extra runs gave them some breathing space in the middle overs on the face of a terrific Rolfes century that went in vain.
