Jogando aberto ou centralizado, Scarpa só é pior do que Lucas Lima em três quesitos: tem mais lançamentos (sete para o ex-jogador do Santos, que tem 50% de acerto no critério, contra três lançamentos certos e 33,33% de aproveitamento de Scarpa) e passes certos (163 passes certos, com 90,56% de acerto, contra 111 e aproveitamento de 87,4% de Scarpa) e um passe errado a menos (16 contra 17).

Gustavo Scarpa, por sua vez, é bem mais eficiente em quase tudo. A começar nos quesitos mais importantes: tem um gol (convertendo pênalti sobre o Bragantino) e uma assistência (para Borja, contra o Red Bull), enquanto o concorrente está zerado em ambos. Sohail Tanvir, the Pakistan allrounder, is set to join Hampshire for all formats from May 23 until the end of the group matches of the Friends Life t20.Tanvir will be Hampshire’s second overseas player and will join Australia’s George Bailey for the defence of their T20 title.Tanvir, 28, is currently out of contention for Pakistan. He was named in the 30-man preliminarily squad for the Champions Trophy but failed to find a place in the final 15. He last featured for Pakistan against India for a T20 International last year in Ahmedabad. O apoio de uma torcida é fundamental. É fato que o torcedor santista tem feito seu papel neste início de temporada. Tem apoiado e colocado, pelo menos, 20 mil em jogos no Pacaembu. Hoje, o Peixe não teve seu principal aliado e parece ter sentido falta.

O Santos tem finalizado mais de 20 vezes a gol, exceto no clássico contra o Palmeiras. Contra o River, o Alvinegro fazia jogadas pelas laterais, cruzava, mas não tinha um centroavante para ganhar pelo alto até a entrada de Felippe Cardoso. Houve dificuldade em criar com uma defesa uruguaia fechada.

Defesa exposta

No início do segundo tempo, o Peixe seguiu pressionando e adiantou sua linha de defesa. Tal atitude deixou os defensores expostos. O River percebeu, aproveitou e chegou ao seu solitário gol em um contra-ataque.

Sumiço dos destaques

O atacante Derlis González e o meia Jean Mota têm tido boas performances na temporada. Com um 4-5-1 compacto do River, os destaques poderiam ter chamado a responsabilidade, mas foram tímidos. Nem a participação do camisa 8 no gol do timeapagou sua atuação apática.

Ausência de Rodrygo

If you’ve been in the rainforest the last few months, or climbing Mount Everest, then it is possible that you haven’t heard that Man United have re-signed Paul Pogba for an eye watering world record fee. Although not a direct competitor for Rooney’s preferred striker role, he poses serious problems for the United captain.

Rooney never had blistering pace like Marcus Rashford or the target man height of Zlatan Ibrahimovic; he has always relied on his knack of getting goals and his will to win.

However, Jose likes a fast counter attacking team which is able to break from box-to-box with pace in order devastate opponents, then sit back and absorb the pressure; taking the sting out of the game. Rooney’s legs are gone so the speed of his attack isn’t what it used to be; and he also lacked goals last year, which even convinced England to play him in a deep lying midfield role during their ill fated Euro 2016 campaign.

Mourinho has already stated that midfield is not his best position and he should be scoring goals as he has always done for the club, which itself carries extra pressure for Rooney.

The lone striker role that Jose prefers would seem to be owned by Zlatan for this season at least, and the iconic Swede has already become a darling of both the fans and the media. As previously mentioned, his pace was never electric, and this means that a wide berth is most certainly out of the question. In theory this leaves one position for Rooney; the No.10 role.

Here in lies the problem; Paul Pogba also relishes this role. The area behind the striker is his best position and this was plain for all to see in France’s run to the final. When Pogba was asked to sit in front of the back four he seemed to lose not just his creative spark, but also his swagger and drive.

So the big question is, when Pogba returns from his ban, will he play in this role, relegating Rooney to a wide berth, or will Jose wait for Rooney to lose form and drop him?

For the first time in his career at Old Trafford Rooney looks vulnerable ,and all football watchers know that Jose will not hesitate to drop him – captain or not.

Following their early exit from the Champions Trophy, Samuels backed West Indies to do well against strong ODI opponents India and Sri Lanka in the tri-series beginning in Jamaica on Friday.”We are not going to blow our horn about it but at the moment if you look at the West Indies set-up we have some wonderful players with a lot of experience,” Samuels said. “So you can’t rule us out. The great thing about West Indies cricket right now is that we are competing and winning games, not like back then when we were losing games. And not just in the Caribbean but also outside it, the fans are coming back. So that is motivating us to win more games so that we can win back the fans’ hearts plus put West Indies cricket back on top.”Samuels tempered his optimism by acknowledging that West Indies, currently ranked No 8 in ODIs, needed to show progress in numerous aspects of their game. “It is a steep corner to turn but the good thing is that we are on the corner, we have not turned it as yet, so there are a lot of areas we need to improve.” he said. “We need to have more match-winners and get balls in the (right) areas consistently. As a unit we are getting stronger and better and the strength in the group will, in the long-run, see us winning games non-stop and beat the best teams in the world.”For me, when I finish I want to know that West Indies cricket is No 1 again.” Samuels said.West Indies exited from the Champions Trophy in heartbreaking circumstances following a rain-hit tied match against South Africa, leaving Samuels to wonder what could have been. “The way I saw it we should go back into the finals and meet India and then it would be perfect, we would just play a T20 and finish off the tournament, we are the T20 champions. It never happened.”India, the Champions Trophy winners, are the No 1 ranked ODI side and Sri Lanka are positioned three places above the hosts but Samuels was upbeat about West Indies’ chances. “India and Sri Lanka are very good teams, big names and some young players coming through in good form and playing well, but I am still backing the unit that I have a lot of belief in.” he said.”We are playing some serious cricket right now and gaining a lot of respect, individually and as a team. Playing in maroon is more special than anything else for us.” he said. “Our cricket is where we want it to be at the moment but there is room to improve.”Ottis Gibson, the West Indies coach, said they were a bit unfortunate in the Champions Trophy and wanted his side to put the “little mistakes” behind.”I think we were starting to shape up to do well in that tournament. It’s just to kick on from there,” Gibson said. “It’s to put those little mistakes that we made in England, put them away. We felt we had a good opportunity to win that tournament and we want to win this one and prove ourselves right.””It is good to be back home. It is the first time we are playing a tri-nation tournament in quite a while so we are looking for positive results.” he said. “There’s more balance in the side and we are starting to believe a lot more that we can be the team that we want to be. We are starting to show the application and hopefully we will continue to show that development and progress.”

Yorkshire, who eventually had a first-innings lead of 140, had not the time nor the inclination to attempt to enhance that swiftly once three wickets had gone for 21 runs. Adam Lyth, who never tires of batting in Taunton, remained at the crease at tea and, indeed, thereafter.At least, from Somerset’s perspective, another batsman has found some form. On Thursday it was Marcus Trescothick. Now James Hildreth reached his first century of the season, indeed his only meaningful Championship score, before he was yorked by Moin Ashraf when just three runs were required to save the follow on. Like his captain, he is not as yet back to his very best, but his punched drive square of the wicket, a shot he plays as well as virtually anybody, was in good order.Hildreth, who was on 76 overnight, reached his century with, depending on your point of view, 12 or 14 fours. Two were all run and so do not feature as boundaries in the scorers’ official books and computers. Or, on this occasion, one scorer, as Gerry Stickley, of Somerset, was making his international debut at Lord’s.Craig Meschede partnered Hildreth competently enough until he drove too early at a slower ball from Steven Patterson and was caught at short mid-off. Not as unlikely as it would seem given Somerset’s dreadful batting this season.What happened instead was that Joe Sayers was caught at second slip by Marcus Trescothick for a single off Steve Kirby, as he had been in the first innings; Phil Jaques padded up to the second ball he faced; and Andrew Gale was leg before half forward to Peter Trego’s medium pace. That was 21 for 3 but Lyth, who continued his fine run of form on this ground by reaching a half century off 106 balls with six fours, hardly played and missed.”It was a boring draw in the end,” Trescothick admitted, “and my own batting is a work in progress. But James Hildreth has been batting well in one-day games and he shepherded the lower order well. The last four wickets put up a good fight to save the follow on.”

وأردف: “أول مباراة دولية كانت تحت قيادة بوب برادلي وكان عمري 19 عامًا وأحرزت هدفا، ولم يستدعيني بعدها، يمكن لأنه في هذا الوقت كان يوجد لاعبين كبار وأنا كنت أقل خبرة”.

وأكمل: “حتى وقت قيادة كوبر، كنت أسير بشكل جيد مع سبورتينج براجا، لكن في أمور غير مفهومة، أوقات الأسباب ليس لها علاقة بكرة القدم، أوقات الجهاز المعاون يستمع للإعلام ويطلب من المدير الفني عدم استدعاء لاعب معين حتى يخف الضغط عليه من الإعلام”.

وواصل: “لم أفتعل أي مشكلة طوال عمري بسبب عدم مشاركتي وبالتحديد مع المنتخب، وهذا تعلمته من حسام غالي، في وقت قيادة كوبر كان يوجد عدد كبير من اللاعبين لا يُشاركون، حسام غالي اجتمع باللاعبين وقال أنتم هنا تمثلون منتخب مصر وأي لاعب يحلم بأن يتواجد هنا”.

تقدم ناد سعودي بعرض للظفر بخدمات اللاعب المغربي الدولي، سفيان أمرابط، من صفوف فيورنتينا الإيطالي في موسم الانتقالات الصيفي الحالي.

ومن المعروف أن أمرابط يُعد هدفًا بالنسبة لنادي برشلونة، الذي أبدى إعجابًا به منذ تألقه في كأس العالم قطر 2022.

ووفقًا لشبكة “فوت ميركاتو” الفرنسية، فإن الدوري السعودي بات خيارًا آخر متاح أمام أمرابط هذا الصيف.

وأوضحت أن نادي أهلي جدة السعودي أبدى رغبته في الحصول على خدمات سفيان أمرابط، وقدم عرضًا لضمه.

وأكدت أن أمرابط يريد البقاء في أوروبا، مع العلم أن شقيق نور الدين أمرابط هو من يتولى ملف مستقبله.
